This past summer, members of CPAlliance™ gathered once again for the 26th Annual Executive Roundtable in sunny Sarasota, Florida. This four day event is an annual retreat created to bring CPAlliance™ members together to learn, enhance their skills, and create connections with other members, all while enjoying much-needed rest and relaxation with their families after a long and grueling tax season. After several informative sessions, group events, and fun activities, members leave the retreat with practical skills and ideas to enhance their firm’s growth and operations.
The educational focus for 2022 was on how CPAlliance™ members can become financial planning superheroes to their clients, from compliance-proofing their practices to effectively communicating. We took a deep dive into the CPAlliance™ Playbook —a time-tested, five-step process designed to help CPAs effectively offer wealth management services— and the additional tools to help them deliver exceptional experiences to their clients. Holding to the tradition of the Roundtable, members also met for a group discussion about all things relevant to CPA Wealth Managers.
“My favorite part this year was, and usually is, the roundtable discussion,” shared CPAlliance™ director, Shawn McCabe. “Once the session begins, it is great to see everyone start talking through their successes, problems, and concerns and watching them come together as a community to work through issues, share ideas, and help one another succeed as an RIA and CPA.”
The Annual Roundtable is also an opportunity to acknowledge firms for their efforts in helping their clients achieve financial independence. Awards are presented to the top four firms with the largest assets under management and the Rising Star Award for the most financial growth for the year. Congratulations to this year’s award winners!

We certainly don’t believe in all work and no play, so we made sure to make plenty of time for fun in the sun! We spent afternoons and evenings enjoying the beautiful beaches and cuisine only beautiful south Florida has to offer. We even traveled up to Tampa to see the New York Yankees take on the Tampa Bay Rays and had the privilege to share the time with a very special guest: Stinger, the Rays’ mascot!
